02 April 2001. We arrived Kalaw at 0600Hrs. Our bus ( airconditioned public bus ) left Yangon's Saw Bya Gyi Gone station at about 1330Hrs yesterday. We had a wash and a change at a hotel. The breakfast was Shan traditional food: rice with fish paste. We were to trek from Kalaw to Pindaya on foot, about 45miles or 72 km distance, in the hottest summer time. But the weather here on these Shan mounatins was quite fine.
